Anna Stuart wanted to be an author from the moment she could hold a pen and was writing boarding school novels by the age of nine. After a ‘proper job’ as a factory planner Anna stopped to have children and took the chance to take up the ‘improper job’ of writing again.
During the baby years she filled every free moment writing short stories and serials for all the women’s magazines but her ultimate aim was to write longer fiction, which she now does.
Under the pseudonym Joanna Courtney she writes powerful historical novels and as Anna Stuart she writes warm-hearted contemporary fiction.
