“I count myself very lucky to be guided by Kate's light and wisdom.”

Eloise grew up in South Wales where she spent her time playing in the ruins of a castle and searching for Narnia. Proudly working class, she odd-jobbed her way through college then worked for ten years as an actor, bartender, teacher, barista, elf, before studying for an MA in Creative Writing and graduating with distinction.

Now a succcessful author, she also teaches creative writing, facilitates drama projects and works with her artist husband running a gallery which encourages accessibility to art for all. In her spare time, she sings, sea swims, supports nature and wildlife, hunts ghosts and walks with her cairn terrier on the beach.

Eloise's middle grade novels have won the Wales Arts Review Young People’s Book of the Year, YBB Book Award, and have been shortlisted for the Tir na nOg Awards and the NE Book Awards.

ELOISE ABOUT KATE

Kate is a dynamic, brilliant woman with a wealth of knowledge and an eye for how to make a story spectacular! I count myself very lucky to be guided by her light and wisdom.

KATE ABOUT ELOISE

Eloise’s beautiful storytelling is brought alive by her incredible sense of place, whether it’s Victorian Cardiff or a contemporary Welsh valley.  Add to this her compelling plots and spirited heroines and we see why she is such a terrific writer who is brilliant at author events.
