“Kate is warm and really pleasant to talk to.”

Sabine Adeyinka was born in England to a Nigerian dad and a Jamaican mum. She grew up in Nigeria where she spent the most memorable time in boarding school from the age of eleven.

As a young girl she loved reading novels about boarding schools and longed to tell her own stories one day.

Now a successful children’s novelist, Sabine delights in writing stories about the landscape, food and people of her childhood. She is also training to be a Church of England priest.

She lives in London with her husband and two children.

SABINE about KATE

Kate immediately struck me as straightforward and skilled in her field. She is warm and really pleasant to talk to so that did it for me.

KATE ABOUT SABINE

“I devoured your book in one sitting” is often hyperbole but not this time.  I genuinely gulped down Sabine’s debut novel in one happy afternoon.  It’s gorgeous!  A warm-hearted and inclusive boarding school story set on the banks of a Nigerian river with a vivid ensemble cast of lovely girls (and one or two mean ones).  Then I met Sabine and it all made sense, for she too is lovely, warm-hearted, smart, positive and thoughtful.  I’m so pleased she chose me as her agent.
